Application Programmer Kitchen Stuff Plus Inc. - Toronto, Canada Area

This position is responsible for the creation, implementation, enrichment and support of a wide variety of Web-based products using PHP and MySQL.

In addition the role will support our internal Navision development team by coding new reports, bug fixes, performing database maintenance, code optimization and by programming new modifications.

During regular business hours, and after-hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) as required, to keep company ERP system and web sites operational: administers, programs, documents and maintains security on all corporate applications including Intranet and Internet sites.

Maintains both SQL and MySQL database software and data; monitors systems to ensure 24 hour availability to stores/customers and performs necessary maintenance to support; collaborates with web site content teams.

Ensures all updates and web programming to current security principles and best practices.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Writes Navision Reports and support development of new functions/features in Microsoft Dynamics NAV in liaison with Senior Developers.
  • Develops, updates, maintains and administers corporate intranet sites using HTML, PHP, CSS, Javascript and MySQL.
  • Works with our Web Platform for content integration, supports web service endpoints and manages/incorporates Magento Plugins to enhance our Internet sites.
  • Performs SQL Database Maintenance.
  • Rolls new code releases to our retail stores after-hours.
  • Supports web site functionality by integrating with 3rd party software including shipping and payment processing gateways.
  • Researches, coordinates, and implements security measures into source code.
  • Performs disaster recovery operations if necessary.
  • Recommends changes to improve systems and network configurations.
  • Maintains corporate OWASP, PIPEDA and PCI compliance standards in all development.

Desired Skills and Experience

1. Ability to program in C/SIDE for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009.
2. Ability to effectively and efficiently program web site pages in PHP.
3. Ability to program using the following languages and/or protocols: HTML 4/5, PHP 5/7, CSS, Javascript, ODBC, XML, Webservices, SOAP, AJAX, MySQL.
4. Ability to edit Magento web pages.
5. Ability to administer MS SQL 2012.
6. Ability to document technical procedures and computer code in a detailed and concise manner.
7. Ability to express ideas clearly both in written and oral communications.
8. Develop applications with security and compliance in mind in addition to coding in industry standards.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Post-secondary diploma or degree;
2. Minimum one year report programming C/SIDE in Microsoft Dynamics Navision.
3. Minimum three years related web programming experience using MySQL and PHP.

OTHER:  This is an on-site (GTA) position. Remote workers are not eligible for this position.
