The US FBO Regulation Project Team is responsible for managing the bank's response to new requirements by the Federal Reserve for Foreign Banking Organizations with combined US assets of $50 billion or more.
Summary
The new hire will work as a member of the US FBO Regulation Project Team to establish, maintain, control and enhance the identified necessary processes for the planned Bank Holding Company (“BHC”), directly, indirectly or not associated with an enterprise data warehouse, which is being developed for Mizuho’s US combined risk management and regulatory reporting.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Work as a core member for identification and establishment of necessary processes, directly, indirectly or not associated with the enterprise data warehouse, which is being developed for Mizuho’s US combined risk management and regulatory reporting.
- During development of the data warehouse and dry run of the BHC activity, participate in user acceptance test and rehearsal to ensure workability and efficiency of the identified processes.
- After the establishment of the BHC, maintain, control and enhance the identified processes, and also address new requirements.
- Coordinate and facilitate various meetings among stakeholders, which include management, risk management team, finance team, IT team, data governance team, consultants and system vendors.
Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications
- Eligible to work in the US.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics mathematics, physics or computer science. Master’s degree is preferred.
- 7+ years of relevant work experience.
- Project Management experience.
- Knowledge on risk management, accounting and/or data management in financial institutions.
- Significant knowledge and experience in development of operational processes.
- Strong analytical and verbal/written communication skills.
