Job description
- Build a business analytics and competitive intelligence infrastructure for Xiaomi Global - SE Asia that will assist tactical and strategic decision making
- Design processes and implement tools that can collect and analyze relevant primary and secondary data to help the team make better informed decisions
- Provide management with clear insights and recommendations into drivers of user behavior, operational metrics, market trends, risks, and opportunities
- Provide pre-emptive point of view on competitors - what they will be launching, how that affects Xiaomi, what it means for Xiaomi positioning and pricing; drive to recommendations
- Take ownership of data, including sharing of data and dashboards, collaborating with different teams across time zones to gather and synthesize information
- Work with engineering and product teams to design business processes and create data pipelines to ensure proper data collection and capture for reporting key metrics and KPIs
- Provide input to market forecasts based on systematic and structured approach
- Help form go-to-market strategy as we expand into new markets this year - who the key stakeholders are, market structure, key competitors, key success factors, etc.
- Work directly with General Manager and Chief-of-Staff in daily operations for Xiaomi-Global Southeast Asia
- Countries covered: Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, and very likely Russia, Turkey & Middle East, Africa
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience:
- BS degree with a quantitative focus (e.g. Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience
- 1-2 years experience in consulting or relevant work experience as analyst or in an analytical role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Very skilled in Excel and powerpoint (able to do excel functions sumif, if, pivots, etc)
- Ability to multi-task efficiently, stay extremely organized, possess a high degree of flexibility/react quickly, and work well with others in a team capacity
- Must be pro-active due to our start-up environment
Travel:
- 10-20% of the time
