Based in Marin Software's New York office, the Director, Strategic Accounts is a senior sales professional responsible for quota attainment and new business sales and cross-sell efforts to top named prospects and clients in the Eastern half of North America. These strategic prospects and clients are culled from various sources including Internet Retailer 500, Fortune 500, top online marketing spenders and other marquee brands. The Director, Strategic Accounts will work closely with prospects to uncover requirements, assess the state of current online marketing programs and develop sales strategies to win new business. This position reports directly to the Regional Vice President Sales, East.

Compensation
This is an on-site, full-time salary plus performance incentive position located in our New York office. Marin pays market-leading compensation and provides Equity participation, best in class comprehensive health plans including medical, vision and dental. Responsibilities
- Define the strategy and be responsible for the execution of overall sales to a prospect
- Model the value and total cost of ownership of Marin Software
- Direct cross-functional company resources required to support prospects needs based on potential revenue and strategic impact
- Deliver presentations and demonstrations to a diverse, enterprise-class audiences ranging from C-Level to Marketing Execs to Managers.
- Gather customer technical requirements /details of environment for review and development of on-boarding strategy
- Serve as a conduit of prospect-related product features to the product team for roadmap consideration
- Manage new business sales-cycle and present our Online Marketing Management application, Marin Enterprise via the web and face to face
- Forecast sales activity in CRM tool, while creating satisfied and reference able customers
- Work with a monthly, quarterly and yearly quota
- Develop and sustain knowledge of Marin Software’s offerings and associated technologies
- 25-50% travel as appropriate for critical face-to-face meetings
Qualifications
- 7+ years of new business sales experience -- quota carrying sales rep for software or software-as-a-service or online advertising company.
- Previous major account experience requiring complex, multi-faceted new business sales
- Track record of over-achieving quota (ranked top 5-10% of sales staff) in past positions
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Online Marketing industry experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast pace, team environment
- Strong computer skills, including Salesforce.com, Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel
